ELECTRIFICATION IN THE CONSTITUENCY.
Over the past few years, rural electrification has served as a key benchmark for economic development and social progress. Access to a well-functioning energy sector can be critical for sustained economic growth at the macroeconomic level and in encouraging more investments opportunities.
The MP, Hon. Marwa, is working closely with the Ministry of Energy, Rural Electrification Authority (REA) and Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) to ensure an increased coverage and access of power connectivity in the entire Constituency. He has prioritized the connection of public facilities such as learning institutions, hospitals and market centers. In his agenda, public facilities will serve as community connection points bringing previously off-grid homes and businesses within a connecting distance of a low-voltage line. All public institutions will have a transformer to serve the institution and the neighborhood.
The Mp has petitioned the Ministry of Energy to ensure that every constituent has access to electricity.
